Another thing we see all of the time here is when people go to the Doctors, and the Doctor tells them that they don't understand where their pain is coming from. They say things like "but you're so flexible" or "you're strong so we don't understand why you're in pain."

Hypermobility describes and joints that stretch further than normal. For example, some hypermobile people can bend their thumbs backwards to their wrists, bend their knee joints backwards, put their leg behind the head or perform other contortionist "tricks". It can affect one or more joints throughout the body. When present in the hands, it is colloquially referred to as "double-jointedness".
