About Us

Actify PT is not your typical physical therapy or health care office. We specialize in helping people stay active, healthy, and mobile - without pain pills or procedures - so they can do the activities they love instead of sitting in the doctor's office. We use physical therapy and Pilates to empower people through movement.

We are also completely cash-based and do not contract with any insurance companies. This means a lot of things for you when it comes to how you get to work with your patients.

​

You get to:

  • Focus on your patient - spending a full 60 minutes with them one-on-one, uninterrupted

  • Spend your down time researching a case when you need to, or communicating directly with your clients when they have questions - instead of filling out insurance authorizations or paperwork

  • See a reasonable caseload of 6-8 patients per day so that you go home feeling energized and happy about the work you did, instead of mentally or physically drained

  • Look forward to coming to work every day - because you actually get to practice what you went to school for - physical therapy!

  • Have one-on-one mentorship and training every week - no matter your experience or skill level - to practice skills and go over cases

  • Most importantly...you get to use your talents and passion (you know, the thing that made you want to become a PT to begin with) to make a REAL difference in people's lives

What we're looking for:

  • A full-time (30 hours/week) physical therapist to join our growing, hard-working, and family-like team. We see this position growing with us to become 40 hours/week as demand increases. Must be available to take appointments on Wednesdays.

  • The successful applicant will hold a Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree

  • The ideal candidate will have 1-2 years of outpatient orthopedic job experience, be highly motivated, and ready to soak up information.

  • You should be licensed to practice physical therapy in the state of Florida, or be eligible to obtain your license.

  • You must be able to perform the evaluation and treatment of musculoskeletal injuries, muscle imbalances, and movement impairment. You will be asked to use electronic medical records to document your visits.

  • Experience with movement science or Redcord is a plus (but not a requirement).

  • Someone who is upbeat, friendly, and not too shy to be on camera - video is a big part of how we communicate with our clients, marketing, and social media presence.

  • Someone who knows how to quickly build trust and is motivated to form long-lasting relationships with clients.

  • Someone who is willing to participate in community and outreach events to help market the new business and acquire new clients.

  • Must be willing to assist with recruiting and scheduling new patients.

  • Someone who is able to hold meaningful phone conversations with patients and prospective patients for twenty minutes or longer.

  • If you're a new grad - we welcome your application - you will get unbelievable amounts of training and mentorship so that not only will you succeed in this setting, but you will surpass your peers working in "traditional" environments. But please only apply if you're truly serious about becoming a world-class therapist in a non-traditional setting.
