Client Care Assistant
Serena joined us as our patient care assistant in February of 2020, where she handles scheduling, social media, and day to day patient contact. Her love for human connection and positive energy allows for a warm feeling in the office, and she is always there to chat with you about her favorite chronic illness hacks and tips. She is a graduate from The University of Alabama (Roll Tide!), where she received her B.A. in medieval art history and oil painting. She was diagnosed with Ehlers Danlos Syndrome her junior year of college and has since aimed to help those who have struggled with chronic illness. When she's not in the office she spends her free time with her 14 year old dog Tootsie, enjoys audio books, practices her origami skills, paints, and watches Game of Thrones. She is preparing for graduate school where she hopes to continue on and become a professor of art history, while continuing to advocate for those with invisible and chronic illnesses.
