Dr. Marcia Perretto, PT, DPT, COMT
Doctor of Physical Therapy, Founder
Dr. Marcia C. Perretto, a Doctor of Physical Therapy with advanced training in orthopedic manual therapy, movement sciences, Yoga Therapy, and Redcord®. Dr. Perretto received her Bachelor’s degree in Physical Therapy at a recognized catholic university in south Brazil,and completed her transition to Doctor of Physical Therapy degree at Nova Southeastern University. Later she completed her Manual Therapy Certification at the Ola Grimsby Institute in California and a Health Coach Training program with the Institute for Integrative Nutrition in New York, where she learned over 100 dietary theories and a holistic approach to wellness. Dr. Perretto is certified as a yoga therapy instructor (YTT200) and holds several certifications including Neurac Redcord® and Redcord Active®. Married with one daughter and two sons, when she is not working she enjoys her family time and staying active and fit.
Alice Barreto Rodrigues
Movement Rehabilitation Therapist
With over a decade of experience, Alice is a Certified Pilates Instructor for Rehabilitation and has a degree in Physical Therapy from the Federal University of São Carlos. Having a background in Dance, she found Pilates: the perfect combination of movement and healing. After her first Pilates session as a client, she fell in love with the Method and knew that was the career she wanted to pursue. She completed her first Pilates certification in Brazil in 2007 and has since been working with Pilates and rehabilitation, helping folks get back to doing what they love through movement healing. In 2009, she moved to Australia where she completed the Stott Mat Pilates course and became fully Certified by Polestar Pilates. Alice recently moved to Florida where she is studying Classical Pilates. Movement passionate, she absolutely loves to make people move at their best and leave the studio with a smile on their face.
Kerri Huso is a former athlete, current artist and arts professional. She grew up in a small town in Montana where she gained 4 varsity letters and an All-Conference selection as an outside hitter on her high school volleyball team. She received her Bachelor of Business Administration, Honors in Arts Management from Gonzaga University and is currently pursuing her Master of Arts in Museum Studies at Johns Hopkins University. She has worked in a number of capacities for the Actify PT team as a Marketing Specialist, Assistant Manager and Dedicated Patient Liaison, and now as Operations Manager. She also works as the Assistant Manager of Visitor Experience at the Glenstone Museum in Potomac, Maryland. In her free time she loves to paint, throw pottery, play and coach volleyball and basketball and enjoys exploring her new home in the Washington, DC area.
Client Care Advocate
Jennifer has served as Director in the Service industry expanding over 18 years and is a proven leader in the Customer Service arena. Her team-centered beliefs and customer-centric approach fosters an environment that ensures customer loyalty, retention, and complete customer satisfaction. Jennifer is also a former athlete and all-state player in women's softball. After numerous injuries and resulting surgeries, she has since had to slow down things a bit, shifting her focus to simply enjoying life to the fullest. Jennifer is married with two children and has three dogs. She loves gardening, decorating, cooking, entertaining, and quality time with her family and friends.
Client Care Assistant
Katie joined the Actify team as a Client Care Assistant in October of 2020. She is responsible for greeting patients, scheduling, and handling daily responsibilities around the office. She loves getting to know each and every patient, and is happy to greet you with a warm smile each time you come to visit our office. She is currently a senior at Florida Atlantic University, pursuing a B.A. in Multimedia Studies: Journalism with a minor in Sociology. In her free time, you can usually find Katie at the beach or at the gym. She loves making art, cooking, and spending time in nature.
Serena joined us as our patient care assistant in February of 2020. Her proven track record of beautiful graphics, knowledge of EDS, and ability to connect with our patients quickly earned her the role of Marketing Assistant. Her love for human connection and positive energy allows for a warm feeling in the office, and she is always there to chat with you about her favorite chronic illness hacks and tips. She is a graduate from The University of Alabama (Roll Tide!), where she received her B.A. in medieval art history and oil painting. She was diagnosed with Loeys-Dietz Syndrome her junior year of college and has since aimed to help those who have struggled with chronic illness. When she's not in the office she spends her free time baking, listening to audio books, painting, or watching Game of Thrones. She is preparing for graduate school where she hopes to continue on and become a professor of art history, while continuing to advocate for those with invisible and chronic illnesses.
